  • Dance Camp

    • Type: athletic
    • Gender: coed
    • Grade: entering Kindergarten/TK to 8th grade

    This winter dance clinic is a unique experience for young dancers in the community to learn from the award winning Whitney High School Dance Team. Campers will have instruction in the styles of hip hop and jazz. All instruction will be provided by WHS Dance Team members and they are very excited to work with young aspiring dancers of all ages and levels. Technique and choreography classes will be broken into small groups based on grade (K-2, 3-5, 6-8, Advanced 6-8). All campers will receive a WHS Dance T-shirt! We hope you join us for a morning of fun, friends, and fitness! GO CATS GO!

    What to wear: Any athletic/dance clothing, dance shoes or tennis shoes, and hair pulled back.

    What to bring: water bottle, healthy snack

  • Flag Football - 1st & 2nd Grade

    This flag football program will be: committed to teaching critical life and team skills through the game of flag football, committed to developing high character youth student-athletes, and committed to the youth the of the Rocklin community. We look forward to focusing on teaching these young student-athletes how to catch, pass, run, and execute the basics of football. 


    Every player will receive a team jersey and set of flags. Gamedays will be on Mondays and will include a warm-up and practice of plays followed by a game. Thursdays will be a practice that focus on the items above.

    The Whitney High Athletic Department hired Coach McNally in 2018 as the head football coach. A former linebacker at De La Salle High School, McNally carried his successful prep career with him into college. As a walk-on at Boise State University, the Broncos won a Western Athletic Conference Championship. The following year, McNally transferred to Diablo Valley College, where he helped the Vikings win their first All-Golden Gate Conference championship. From there, he received a full-ride scholarship to Northern Arizona University. He was a three-year starter there and was named the Lumberjacks’ captain in 2009. In 2010, he began his coaching career as an assistant linebacker coach at NAU. He also served as an assistant defensive line coach. In 2013, McNally began his prep coaching career at James Logan High School in Union City. He served as defensive coordinator, linebacker coach and was the strength and conditioning coach. He eventually became the Colts head coach.

    Nick French was hired as the Whitney High School varsity head coach in 2013. Prior to that he played at Fresno Pacific University from 1997-2000 where he ranked 7th all time in scoring (1135 points) and 12th all time in rebounding (454) in my 3 year career at FPU. His coaching career began shortly after as he served in the following roles: Assistant Varsity Coach at Newark Memorial High School, Head Varsity Coach at Liberty Madera Ranchos, and the Head Coach at Hoover High School in Fresno. Through his coaching career Coach French has won two section titles, been a section runner-up, and coached in a handful of Northern California State Play-off games. During his tenure at Whitney High School, Coach French has won 110 games between 2013-2018 seasons, having averaged 22 wins a season. He is married to my amazing wife Kathy and they have three amazing little boys. His world is surrounded around sports and the boys. Coach French has been a Special Education Teacher for over 17 years and I am very involved with Northern CA Special Olympics and Northern CA Unified Sports.
